How can i get the Test Location's DNS record - johnzhou - 03-30-2012 06:33 PM

Hi,

How can i get the DNS record of each Test Location? Since i use the cdn service in my images domain, and i find, i test from Dulles VA, but the cdn node server been Assigned to china.
so i need know the DNS record of each Test Location, then i can contact the CDN service providers to Adjustment.

You can capture a TCP Dump and watch the DNS responses (for any location except for Dulles).

In the case of Dulles, it is using both Verizon's resolvers and Google's:

199.45.32.38
199.45.32.43
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

Some of the CDN providers will give you a page to visit that will test the resolver and give you their view of it. In those cases you can also just test the page and look at the screen shot.
