It sounds like you really should be using the API to do your testing and then just schedule whatever you need done in cron or something like that. Running the tests isn't terribly difficult, what you want to do with the results once the tests have been run is the bigger question. You can run the tests directly on the command line with a simple wget or if you want to have it pull back the results you can use Marcel's NodeJS wrapper: https://github.com/marcelduran/webpagetest-api

You could potentially set up a private instance of showslow and just have the test results beaconed to the showslow instance if you want to get some trending.
