The tester info page has information about the DNS servers configured for each test location:

It looks like Singapore is probably run on EC2 but it uses anycast resolvers local to Singapore. What makes you think it is using servers in the US? If you are using a geo-location service that relies on DNS there's a chance that they don't handle EC2 geo-location well (and those usually also do a really bad job for anyone using Google's global DNS servers).
