Comparing hosting
Currently i am using hostmonster for our hosting and for the most part site speeds are fine ranging anywhere from 1 to 6 sec load time with an average being around 2 to 3
I wanted to have better page speeds as well as an FTTB so i recently got the dynamo package at webhosting hub as well as crocweb i believe both of these use ssd with the latter offering litespeed and mariadb I copied my wordpress site and db to each server and use a temporary domain so i can perform the same exact test During speed tests they average around the same for the most part The hostmonster server at times is well under 2 sec beating both of the other 2 hosting companies I have not yet officially switched hosting away from hostmonster until i can confirm the other hostings are in fact better consistently With crocweb the price is around $3 hostmonser $4 webhostinghub $8 All 3 are on the 36mo plan so i pay in full I am willing to continue with the $8 plan but its not giving my 1 to 2 sec speeds consistently and im not sure how i can aside from leaving shared hosting which at this time cannot be done |

RE: Comparing hosting
Do you have links to sample results? Usually the hosting is only going to impact the first-byte time so it's going to depend on where the time is going.

RE: Comparing hosting
Those aren't apples-to-apples comparisons. The webhostingclub test is https and close to 1 second of the TTFB is verifying the comodo certificate (which is just crazy-long). The server itself actually responded in ~500ms. Unless it's the same application code on all of the sites (and not just a cloned page either, databases and everything) you won't get useful results.
