Patrick - I already use Minify and like it. I am battling some on minifying external js and css files. Tends to mess things up.
Hostgator says they offer Gzip, but it appears that the speed comes from the 'MOD' which they don't offer on a shared plan. I went a gzip some stuff throught the CPanel, but I don't think it changes anything. This is from YSLOW: "If you use Apache, the module configuring gzip depends on your version: Apache 1.3 uses mod_gzip while Apache 2.x uses mod_deflate" |
