Blank Tests
Hi,
I tried installing but after running the instances, it seems like they are all blank tests. I am trying to get both the chrome and ie browser tests up, but it seems like wpt isn't picking up the tests and it is showing as empty even though a test has already been queued. Any help for this? RE: Blank Tests
Does the web server have permissions to write to the work/jobs directory on the server?
If you stop the agent from running and submit some tests, do you see files show up in work/jobs/chrome and work/jobs/IE_8? What you are describing sounds very much like a permissions problem on the server. Thanks, -Pat |

RE: Blank Tests
I see files showing up on work/jobs/IE_8 but not work/jobs/chrome. A uniqueID.dat also shows up outside the two folders. This is done after disabling the agent.
During startup for the agent, I have ipfw.cmd, urlBlast and wptdriver exceuted. Is there anything that I missed? Thanks so much! Jonathan (09-20-2011 12:39 AM)pmeenan Wrote: Does the web server have permissions to write to the work/jobs directory on the server? |

RE: Blank Tests
can you start up the agents, wait a little bit and then grab the /getwork.php requests from the access log on the server?

RE: Blank Tests
oh, don't know why I didn't catch it. urlblast.ini, the location needs to be IE_8 and match the configuration in locations.ini. The chrome configuration looks like it should work.
Thanks, -Pat |

RE: Blank Tests
Thank pmeenan! It is working fine right now.
By the way, I want to ask what does installing the Chrome Frame do? Never quite understood its usage. RE: Blank Tests
Chrome Frame is an interesting concept where it runs the chrome browser inside of IE itself (sharing IE's cache, cookies, etc). It dynamically switches renderers based on hints from websites and is really useful for IT departments that have to keep using IE 6 for SAP or something like that. It lets them effectively use Chrome for most browsing and fall back to IE's renderer for internal sites that ONLY work with IE6.
