web beacon/tracker blocking
Hi,
i've had a good scour of the web, but i cant find anything concrete on the subject. Does anyone know how prevalent tracker/beacon blocking is. That is to say, what percentage of internet users are actively blocking (through browser plugins or hosts files trickery etc) tracking tags / web beacons. Many thanks, @hsiboy |

RE: web beacon/tracker blocking
I would guess that this metric is hard to pin down because detecting a client-side blocking plugin probably requires some kind of third-party tracking pixel to do the reporting.

RE: web beacon/tracker blocking
True, i'm guessing its higher than we currently understand, my initial investigations would suggest its as high as 10% of visitors are actively blocking tracking tags (through comparing server logs, tea-leaf and tracking beacon results for 2 domains).
