RE: Improve WP site speed...help
http://www.webpagetest.org/result/130608...1/details/ shows both your first text/html + text/css resource are returned very slow.
Since both text/html + text/css are both returning slow, likely the will require ssh (command line) work to do problem determination + resolution. Once this common speed problem is fixed, likely many (maybe all) speed problems will resolve. PM me if you require assistance. Like help speeding up your site? Skype me @ ID davidfavor for a quote. I would suggest moving hosts if at all possible, as it appears your hosting may be a little under powered.

RE: Improve WP site speed...help
WebsiteSpeedExperts is right on.
Because both your html + css are serving slowly, best guess is your Hosting company techies are clueless about how to setup high performance servers. Your site looks to be running on a Soup Kitchen server too - many sites of unknown quality + traffic - so if your budget supports, consider switching to a dedicated server. RE: Improve WP site speed...help
1. You need to choose a fast webhost. I host at NameTyper.com
2. You need to optimize your site. Since you are running Wordpress you should install a wordpress cache plugin. wp-cache. 3. In modern hosts control panel there is a function for "compressing" css, html, js. You just need to "push that button" and that will help you a bit on the way also. 4. Most modern hosts has one click install of CDN networks. I use CloudFlare since that is the one that is offerd at my host (and most ppl seem to think Cloudflare is the best) 5. My site loads in less then one second. Have a try: http://statsskuld.se/?optimize=1 the ?optimize=1 in the end is to remove the google banners and such since those tend to slow down the site. I have choosen not to use CDN at the moment but I am sure the reuslts will be below 1 second either way if you test anywhere in europe. The site is swedish therefor I don't need CDN. Also, see if there is any really slow plugins installed at the moment in your wordpress becourse that seems to be very slow time to first byte. |

RE: Improve WP site speed...help
If you only have one site, use a virtual host.
If you have many sites, acquire a dedicated machine. If you only have one site, which is generating a truckload of income, acquire a dedicated machine. With virtual hosting, you're gambling the hosting company knows what they're doing. With a dedicated machine, you'll require doing your own machine tuning + admin or hiring someone to preform these tasks on an ongoing basis. Like help speeding up your site?
